Your editing style, learned on your own computer.

Myeown Brain learns how you edit from your own Lightroom catalogs, then edits new photos your way, in Lightroom Classic and Lightroom. Your photos never leave your computer, and you buy it once.

How it works

From your finished work to your edit

1

It learns from your finished work.

Point it at your Lightroom catalogs. It reads your finished edits and your original photos, right on your computer. No exported JPEGs needed.

The Learn screen: the catalogs a Brain learned from, its finished photos and its look
Learn. The catalogs your Brain learned from, and the look it learned.
2

It finds each of your looks.

Deliver a warm film look for some clients and black & white for others? Myeown Brain finds each look in your finished photos, shows you examples, and learns a separate Brain for each one you choose, so no look gets blended into another. If two looks are really one style to you, learn them together.

Myeown Brain found 3 looks: a true-to-colour main look, a warm negative look with grain, and black and white film, each with sample photos and a choice to make a new Brain, use the main Brain, or leave it out

It edits thousands of photos in one go.

Select photos in Lightroom Classic, or drag in a folder for Lightroom, and press Process. Each photo gets your edit as a single history step named after your Brain, so you can compare and undo as usual. Light or dark, the app follows your taste.

It keeps learning from your fixes.

When you adjust a photo after processing, it learns from that too, and gets closer to you with every shoot.

Works with Lightroom Classic and Lightroom

Use it as a plugin inside Lightroom Classic, or as a standalone app on its own.

As a Lightroom Classic plugin

Select photos and choose File ▸ Plug-in Extras ▸ Myeown Brain. Each photo gets a history step, so you can compare and undo as usual.

As a standalone app

Open Myeown Brain on its own and drag in the folder of photos you edit in Lightroom. Myeown Brain saves each photo's settings where Lightroom reads them, and keeps a backup so you can put everything back in one click.

Myeown Brain as a standalone app, with a folder of 236 photos dragged in and ready to process
Standalone. Drag a folder of photos onto the window; open it in Lightroom afterwards and the edits are there.

What it sets on every photo

All learned from your own finished photos.

Private

Nothing is uploaded.

Even the learning happens on your computer, not just the editing. Your photos, catalogs and clients' faces never go to anyone's servers, and it edits without an internet connection. All it ever sends is a quick license check, about once a month, and a check for updates when you ask.

Cost

Buy it once.

No subscription, no per-photo fees, no credits to top up. Edit as many photos as you like, as often as you like.

Yours

Your style, not a house style.

It learns only from your own finished work, so it edits like you. Your Brain is saved as a file you own and keep.

Unlimited

As many Brains as you like.

Make a Brain for each kind of work, or for each style you edit in. Each one learns on its own, and there's no extra cost for any of them.

Planned

Coming later: share your Brain with other Myeown Brain users.

We're planning a way to send your Brain to another photographer as a single file, so they can edit their own photos in your style. Only the style would be shared, never your photos or catalogs.

Private beta

Download the beta

You'll need the beta key you were sent (it looks like MB-7K2QF-…). Version 0.1.15.

  1. Install it. The beta isn't signed yet, so your computer may ask first. Mac: right-click the file and choose Open. Windows: choose More info ▸ Run anyway.
  2. Install Adobe's free DNG Converter if you don't have it. Myeown Brain uses it to read your photos.
  3. Open Myeown Brain, paste your key and choose Activate. This needs the internet once; after that it works offline.
  4. Find it in Lightroom Classic under File ▸ Plug-in Extras ▸ Myeown Brain (restart Lightroom Classic after installing). For Lightroom, open the app on its own and drag in a folder of photos.

Try Jamieson's Brain

Want to see Myeown Brain at work before your own Brain has learned? Try the Brain trained on Jamieson's finished work. Type your beta key to download it.

Then open Myeown Brain (version 0.1.9 or newer), click the Brain name at the top left, choose Import a Brain… and pick the file. It sits next to your own Brain, and you can switch back any time.
